Everybody was kung-fu fighting

I can't believe it's been almost two weeks since Morgan's last belt test and I'm just now getting it on here. Things have been crazy busy. Her test was the night before Capitol Day, so unfortunately for her, that post took precedence. Then things have just spiraled from there. Out of sight, out of mind, so to speak.
So without further adieu, here are a couple of my favorite pics from Morgan's test:

Would you take a look at that horse stance? I think the instructor looks very impressed. Wouldn't you agree? And this is not even her best work. This is Morgan with her instructor Master Pahanish. He's awesome with all the kids and has great enthusiasm for his job.Have I mentioned Morgan can do 100 sit-ups without stopping? She's in the best shape out of all of us. It's enough to make this old out-of-shape mom proud (sniff). But I'm pretty sure I could still take her down.

Hey. I didn't know Morgan was doing martial arts. That is so neat! I'm also taking karate and I really enjoy it. Tell Morgan that next time we're together we should spar. :) Tell the family hi for me!

Awesome, Tae! How long have you been doing it? Are you taking Tae KwonDo?

I took it 2 summers ago, but I started again a few months ago. I'm actually taking Aam Ka ji jutsu. Which is a little bit of every kind of martial arts. I missed my belt testing because I was in Texas. :( SO, I'm still a white belt because when I took in the summer, I chickened out of testing. There was going to be alot of people we know there. Not my cup of tea.

Our school offers Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and has just started offering MMA (mixed martial arts) which combines a lot of different techniques. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is supposed to be the best martial art for a woman to learn because it teaches self defense from the ground (which is where you are most likely to end up if attacked). Morgan hasn't started that yet. I'd like her to, but we will wait until she's a little older. Fortunately, there are lots of other girl/ladies taking it so she will not have to wrestle around with the guys!
