
This is dill being devoured by a monster.

But look! It's such a beautiful monster.

Also known as a Swallowtail Caterpillar.

They are just so pretty.
I just couldn't bring myself to squash them.
Which is why I had no garden fresh dill last year. But I did have something wonderful to watch for a little while.

I think I would have done the same thing or tried to grow more dill so everybody got some.
I love caterpillars, they are so pretty! Dill is one of my most favorite herbs!
